Sunday Services
Sundays at St Luke’s Church
every Sunday
Sunday Morning Worship
Our main service takes place at 10am every week. Children and young people are invited to join in one of the various Altitude groups which run in parallel with the 10am service.
On some Sundays, the Uniformed Organisations will join us for their Parade Service.

Following 10am service, fresh coffee and tea are served in the Hall.
10am EVERY sunday
10 o'clock service
This is our main service of the day, every Sunday. The format varies from week to week, but our aim is to worship God in a way which ‘works’ for people of all ages. Usually children go out during the service to age-specific groups for their own teaching. The service includes modern worship songs and hymns. God’s word is read and preached and we pray for the needs of the church and the world. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays we share in communion together. The service normally lasts an hour and fifteen minutes and tea and fresh coffee are served afterwards.
11.30am / 1st & 3rd sundays
Holy Communion
Communion services take place on the 1st and 3rd Sunday Mornings each month. They provide an opportunity to take part in a quieter, more traditional time of worship. The service format includes traditional hymns with organ accompaniment and the liturgy is alternately Book of Common Prayer or Common Worship Anglican Communion.
4pm / sunday, once a month
Messy Church
This is a family event for all ages on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 4 pm – 6 pm. It starts in the Lounge of St Luke’s Church Centre with a variety of crafts and activities. These are followed by a short, relaxed, child-friendly service. We then finish with a two-course family meal.

Evening Services
3rd sunday
Encounter
This takes place on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 6.30 pm. It provides an opportunity for a time of extended worship and inspiring testimony, together with teaching and prayer ministry, as we seek to draw closer to God. On each occasion time is given for personal reflection, the chance to ask questions of the speaker and to respond to God’s touch. This is a relaxed time to learn and to share what the Lord is teaching us.
For more information talk to Bill Craft or Carolyn Tsang.
1ST sunday
Oxygen
This is a cafe-style service that runs from 6.30 pm – 8 pm on the 1st Sunday of the month in the Lounge of St Luke’s Church Centre. It is a relaxed, informal service for young people and the young at heart to connect and grow with each other and with God, whilst enjoying a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and munching on some cakes, cookies and fruit.
