meet the team
Rev. Tracey Morris
Rev Tracey has been curate at St. Luke’s since her Ordination in 2019
I was born in Coventry and moved to Sheffield in 2000 after graduating from Bradford University with a degree in Electronic Imaging and Media Communication. I spent 9 years working as an Information Officer at South Yorkshire Probation and 2 years volunteering for St Thomas Crookes Church. I also spent two years volunteering for a Church Army project supporting women who work on the streets. For the past five years I have been studying at St Hild college in Sheffield and Mirfield where I gained a BA and Postgraduate Certificate in Theology, Ministry and Mission, as well as completing ordination training for the Church of England. I then took a year out before ordination to go to Canada for a year. My husband Paul is a cardiology doctor and we have one daughter called Grace.
Rev. Godfrey Smallman
Rev Godfrey has been curate at St. Luke’s since his Ordination in 2019
After reading law at Oxford University, Godfrey came to Sheffield to serve what was then known as his articles with a local law firm, in order to qualify as a solicitor. At a colleague’s wedding during his training period, he sat next to a young teacher called Helen…they have been married for 33 years and counting! On marrying, they settled in Sheffield and have lived here ever since. Their now grown up children live away.
Godfrey retired as a solicitor at the end of July 2019 after 4 decades in the law. He was ordained deacon at that time, and has been serving his curacy with us at St. Luke’s on a part time basis since October that year. Godfrey has a particular calling to work with older folk.
CHILDREN AND FAMILIES DEVELOPMENT WORKER
Hello, I was born in Sheffield and lived in Lodge Moor until I was four. I was actually baptised in St Luke’s.
I grew up in Banner Cross, I always attended church and became a Christian in my early teens. I am married to Ashley and we have two children. I was a primary school teacher for many years, working mainly with key stage one children. I now work with children up to eleven and their families. I love getting to know them and seeing them grow and develop. If you would like to know what is available at St Luke’s for your children please contact me.
Gift Aid Secretary
I started working for St Luke’s in 2021, though I worship at a Church closer to my home I have been warmly welcomed into the team.
After living in Scotland for several years I moved back to Sheffield with my husband and little girl in 2020. In my role as Administrator I assist staff and church members with various organisational tasks. I help Sue to look after safeguarding and also look after social media. If you have any queries about St Luke’s then please do get in touch and I’ll do my best to help.
